"Sister Victoria: My Debt was Cancelled By God's Mercy"

A new season of great favour and breakthroughs has come on all of God's children.

Its a season when God releases His miracles in answer to all the prayers that have been lifted up before His throne over the past years.

Its the season when all debts are cancelled, all bondages are broken, and all our lost family property is restored back to us.
Its the season of Jubilee!!!

The following testimony given last Sunday 22 July 2012 by Sister Victoria is a testimony to the faithfulness of God concerning His Jubilee blessings for each of His children.

Sister Victoria said:
"Last week, as I was waiting for the traffic lights to change, a man on a motorbike came from behind and tapped me on my shoulder and spoke to me.

"He said: 'Do you recognize me?'
I said, 'No.'

"He then took off His helmet and asked again, 'Do you recognize me now?'
I suddenly recognized him. He was a man from whom I had borrowed a huge sum of money 5 years ago. I had been unable to pay him back and I had cried out to God to help me repay that loan over the past years.

"Before I could speak, the man said to me, 'Please do not talk about the past, please do not talk about the money you owed me. The debt  is all cancelled and the matter is settled.' I was stunned!

"Then he continued to ask me about my family and my children and about how we have been doing the past few years.

"I truly want to give all the glory to God for His grace and mercy upon my life and for showing me great favour this season from all men."

Comments (Brother Andrew):
1. Our God is a faithful God who cares for all of us and will answer all our prayers, according to His promises to us in His word.

2. The cancellation of Sister Victoria's debt is a fulfilment of the promises of Jesus that He has come to give to each of us the Year of the Lord's Favour (= The Year of Jubilee).

In the Year of Jubilee, every debt is cancelled, and every bondage is broken, and every family property that has been lost is restored back to us.

Luke 4:18-19
Jesus said: "The Spirit of the Lord is on me,
    because He has anointed me
to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
and recovery of sight for the blind,
to release the oppressed,
19     to proclaim the Year of the Lord’s Favor (= Year of

    Jubilee)."

Leviticus 25:10
10 Consecrate the fiftieth year and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a Jubilee for you; each one of you is to return to his family property and each to his own clan.

3. The Year of Jubilee starts for every child of God the very moment he believes in Jesus as Saviour.
The Jubilee blessings of God belong to every child of God today.
All we have to do is to ask God for His Jubilee blessings, and He will give them to us, in His special way and timing.

4. In these last days, there is an accelerated release of these blessings into our lives as we turn to our Father for His mercy and grace for all our needs.

Amos 9:13
“The days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when the reaper will be overtaken by the plowman and the planter by the one treading grapes.

"Brother Robert: 'I was given a PJM award during the Governor's Birthday last Saturday' "

Brother Robert gave this simple testimony during our Sunday Morning Service, 15 July 2012.
But the miracle did not take place by chance.
It is God who promoted him publicly, according to His word.

Robert said:
"Recently, my department head forwarded my name to the authorities for a PJM ward (for services to the community).

"Yesterday, I received the award from our Governor during his birthday celebration.

"I want to give all glory to God for the award.
It is a great blessing to me from the Lord."

Comments (Brother Andrew):

1. When we do works of righteousness in secret, God rewards us openly.
This was what our Lord promised in Matthew 6:1-4.

Matthew 6:1,4
Be careful not to do your ‘acts of righteousness’ before men, to be seen by them. 4 Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you."

2. Brother Robert has been doing works of righteousness in secret for many years, when no one was looking.

(a) All these years, he opens up the sanctuary at Sungai Ara at 7am, cooks the rice for our Sunday lunch, prepares all the pails and water and detergent for the post-lunch washing up, and when needed, prepares the baptism pool. He only leaves at 8:15am when the Sunday Morning Prayer Group arrives to pray.

(b) Past the past few years, he also picks up some Nepalese workers from a supermarket at 11pm, once every fortnight, fellowships with them, sings praises to God with them, teaches them God's word, prays for each of them, brings them for late dinner/supper, normally at Pelita, and then sends them home to their hostels, usually after 1:30am.

3. Brother Robert does these things in obedience to the Holy Spirit, blessing others through his acts of love, building God's kingdom on this earth in the lives of others, doing it cheerfully, joyfully and willingly, never once grumbling or complaining.

4. Therefore God has honoured His precious child Robert openly and publicly by given him a state award for service to the community.
God is faithful and will always keep His word!

5. If Robert had complained or grumbled, he would have grieved the Holy Spirit and lost his reward.

Deuteronomy 28:47-48
47 Because you did not serve the Lord your God joyfully and gladly in the time of prosperity, 48 therefore in hunger and thirst, in nakedness and dire poverty, you will serve the enemies the Lord sends against you.

6. All glory to God for His goodness to our brother Robert.
We rejoice in God's faithfulness and God's promotion in his life.

"Sister Saras: The Lord Healed Me When I cried out to Him "

Sister Saras gave this awesome testimony of God's great love and power displayed towards His children, when she spoke yesterday morning during the Sunday Worship 8 July, 2012.

She said:

"On Thursday 3 days ago, a car knocked into the motorbike that I was riding on, with my daughter Alu Mary being the driver of our bike.

"We both fell and sustained painful injuries, but praise God, no bones were broken.
However, one of Alu Mary's thighs was swollen and in great pain.
The lady driver of the car sent us to the clinic for treatment and from there we went home to recover.

"During the night, my daughter cried for me to help her. However, I could not get up, as my body was still weak and sore all over from the accident.
So I cried out to the Lord, 'O Lord, I need to help my daughter, I feel so helpless. Please heal me.'

"At 5AM in the morning I had a dream. In the dream, a man came to my room door. He was clothed in white, with a head of white hair, and holding a staff in one hand and a book in the other. I commanded him to go away and leave me. He left and came back a second time. I told him to leave me this time also. When he approached me the third time, I shouted, 'In Jesus' name, I command you to tell me who you are!'

"The man did not reply, but stretched out his hand to heal me. He opened his mouth to say something to me, but at that point, my daughter called for me and I woke up.

"At 7AM, I believed I was healed and got up by faith from my bed. All my pain left me, and I spent the whole day looking after my daughter and doing house work.

"I want to give all the glory to God for visiting me in a dream and for hearing my cry for help.

"To Him be glory forever and ever."

Comments (Brother Andrew):

(1) Our God is an awesome God, a mighty God who can do what He has promised to do, healing all who cry out to Him, no matter what the sickness or disease.

Jeremiah 32:27
“I am Yahweh, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?

Exodus 15:26
He said, “I am Yahweh, who heals you.”

(2) Our God is a faithful God, a God who always keeps His word and fulfills His promises.
When we call to Him, He will always answer.

Psalm 91:14-15
14 “Because he loves me,” says Yahweh, “I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call upon me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.

(3) The man who appeared to Saras in white clothes and with white hair is Jesus.
He has a shepherd's rod with Him showing that He cares for Saras and for each of His sheep.
The book He held in His hand is the word of God, the word that brings healing.

Revelation1:12-14
12 I turned around to see the voice that was speaking to me. And when I turned I saw seven golden lampstands, 13 and among the lampstands was someone “like a son of man,” dressed in a robe reaching down to his feet and with a golden sash around his chest. 14 His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire.

John 10:14-15
14 “I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me— 15 just as the Father knows me and I know the Father —and I lay down my life for the sheep.

Psalm 107:20
He sent forth His word and healed them; He rescued them from the grave.

(4) Jesus answered Saras' cry through a dream, where He came to Saras to heal her.
Likewise, God can heal us through various means.
We must not limit God's ways, but instead welcome Him and His answers to our prayers.

"Sister Swee: 'Miracle at Changi Airport - The Heavenly Porter' "

This was the amazing testimony shared by Sister Swee on Sunday morning, 1 July 2012.

Sister Swee said:
"About two weeks ago I was sent by my company on a training trip to Singapore with 2 other colleagues.

When we arrived at Changi Airport and proceeded to collect our luggage from the carousel, the three of us discovered that all our 3 luggages were already stacked up on a trolley.

That was truly amazing! Each of us had checked in separately at Penang Airport. There was nothing to indicate that the three of us were travelling together for the same training. Neither had we instructed any airport personnel at Changi Airport to stack our luggage together on one trolley. But God sent a heavenly porter.

It would normally take a passenger at between 5 to 15 minutes to retrieve his luggage.
But that day at Changi, I believed that God's angels put our 3 luggages together on the same trolley, waiting just to be pushed by us as we arrived at the luggage carousel.

All glory to God!"

COMMENTS: (Brother Andrew)
I believed that God sent His angels to perform this amazing miracle for Sister Swee for the following reasons:

(1) The Lord wants to specially tell Sister Swee that He is always with her, that He cares for her and that He is with her on this trip to Singapore, and that this trip was ordained by Him to be a time of refreshing in His presence. The Lord also has given this sign to Sister Swee to tell her that God will use her to be a blessing to others in Singapore.

The Lord has promised:

Never will I leave younever will I forsake you.”
(Hebrews 13:4-6)

“I will make you into a great nation
    and I will bless you;
I will make your name great,

and you will be a blessing."
(Genesis 12:2)

"And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
(Matthew 28:20)

(2) The Lord wants to also let Sister Swee's friends know that we serve a God who is alive today, and that He is a God who loves to bless His children, in ways big and small, doing it in such a way that everyone will know that it is God alone who has done it.

What an amazing God we serve!
Hallelujah!!!

"Eva Identifying The Youths After Sunday Service - Video"

The youths gathered around Eva after Sunday Worship and Sunday Lunch and had great fun asking Eva to identify all the youths as their names were called out.

By the grace of God, she succeeded most of the time.
That's a miracle in Penang!
Eva surrounded by Oliver, Icah, and Lyndsey

She enjoyed herself playing the game.
The youths enjoyed playing with her too!

What wonderful youths we have in this local assembly.
All glory to God!

Eva just celebrated her 2 years birthday last Thursday 26 April 2012.
She is the daughter of proud parents Daniel and Mei Wan.
She is also my first grandchild.
I am now a "Datuk" by family relationship!
What an honour and privilege.
Praise God for this blessing.

"Jessica Soo: God Healed The Great Pain In One Of My Arms"

Sister Jessica gave the following testimony through the Pastor on Sunday morning, 15 April 2012, at the Sungai Ara Assembly.

She said:
" I had great pain in one of my arms for the past six months. I could not lift up my hand when I put it at the back of my body to arrange my clothes.

"Recently, I heard from the teaching given by the pastor that healing belongs to every child of God, because Jesus has borne away my diseases and carried away my pains, and by His wounds I have been healed (Isaiah 53:4-5 RSV Margin; 1 Peter 2:24).

"I then asked God to heal my arm of its great pain. After I prayed, I believed that I have received my healing as soon as I prayed, according to the promise of Jesus in Mark 11:24. I believed that my healing has come in the spirit, although I cannot see it or feel it yet.

"As I continued to thank God everyday, my healing came. I can now raise up both my arms without pain and use them for God's glory.
All glory to God for healing me!"

COMMENTS:
Sister Jessica received her miracle through applying Mark 11:24 to her situation.
This scripture says:

  • Mark 11:24
  • Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

Steps to your miracle:
(1) Believe that God can heal every sickness (Isaiah 53:4-5 RSV Margin).
(2) Believe that healing belongs to you.
(3) Ask God to heal you. Ask only once.
(4) Believe that the miracle has come into your body the very moment you prayed, even though you may not see it or feel it (Mark 11:24).
(5) Begin to thank God everyday in prayer for healing you, as follows: "Thank You Abba Father, for healing me of my pains. Thank You that by the wounds of Jesus I have been healed."
(6)  Keep on thanking God for His healing and keep on praising Him for His goodness in your life, until you see the healing miracle manifest in your life.
(7) Meanwhile, never doubt in your heart, or speak words of doubt (Mark 11:23).
Never say, "Why am I not healed? Why is it that God does not want to heal me? Why does God not listen to my prayers?"
(8) You will surely see your healing miracle manifest if you keep on patiently thanking God in faith for your healing.

"House Cleansing & House Dedication at Peggy's Apartment"

Today, 8 April, 2012, Jimmy testified of the following miracles of House Cleansing & House Dedication for Peggy's Apartment.

"On Friday 6 April, my Home Fellowship went to Peggy's house in Taman Tun Sardon to do house cleansing & also to dedicate her house to God for His use.
I thank God for all the members who came to help in the ministry to Sister Peggy.

"We followed the manual prepared for these purposes by the church and everyone took part in the two miracles.
We felt the glorious presence of God in the house after our prayers.
God has come to take ownership of the house for His glory and Peggy was blessed!

"All glory to God for His miracles in Penang."

COMMENTS:
In House Cleansing, we cleansed the house of all acts and objects of idolatry and witchcraft after renouncing all such sins committed by the present owner and previous occupants of the house.
The house is set free from all demonic influence.

In House Dedication, we offer our house to God for His use, for the preaching of His word, for prayer and worship of His name.
We ask God to fill the house with His glory and to speak to everyone by His Spirit and to bless everyone who lives in the house or who comes to visit.

And because of His goodness and faithfulness, God has come to cleanse and sanctify Peggy's house for His glory.
God's presence has come to dwell in Peggy's home.
That's a miracle in Penang!

First Family Day Event During Sunday Morning Worship

Members at Bethel of Glory let their hair down and joined in a Family Day event during Sunday Morning Worship yesterday 25 March 2012.

We normally have our Annual Family Day on May 1 or 2, and this is usually held in the Youth park or at Bukit Dumbar.

However, in order to get all members involved, we held a family game at the church sanctuary yesterday.
This is a first for BOG.
That's a miracle in Penang!

Old and young joined in the fun. The game? Putting together a scripture verse from an envelop full of words, gluing the words in right sequence onto an A4 size paper, and seeing which group comes out fastest.

Jimmy giving out the game plans!

Waiting for instructions

Many asked. "Why only one game? Can we have more next time?"
Others say, "Why only once every 3 months? Can we do it more often?"

Lets wait and see what Jimmy and the deacons will do in response to the feedback.
Timothy joining in the fun
The completed Bible verses from the 4 groups
Thanks to God for putting us into His family!
Thanks to God for every family member in BOG!
Thanks to God for all who joined in playing and watching the game!

Three Great Miracles In A Family

The gift of eternal life is priceless.
Eternal life cannot be bought with any price, even with all the silver and gold of the universe.
Eternal life is not earned by good works or by any works of any man.

Jesus said: "For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?" (Matthew 16:26).

Eternal life is a free gift from God, given to anyone who believes in Jesus as Saviour. "For God loved the people of the world so much that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall never die but have eternal life" (John 3:16).

All men have sinned and cannot save themselves or others. The wages of sin is death and the fire of hell.
Only the blood of Jesus shed on the cross can wash away our sins. This is because Jesus, the sinless Son of God, suffered the punishment of God on the cross for the sins of all men. The penalty for our sins have been fully paid by Jesus on the cross.

This is the love that God has for all men, sending His only Son to die for evil people like you and me, so that we can become His true sons and daughters today, tomorrow and forever in heaven!

Whoever believes in Jesus shall not die eternally in hell but will have eternal life---the life of God.

Yesterday, 18 March 2012, on a bright and sunny and glorious Sunday, three members of one family---the Soo family---received the free gift of eternal life from God, as they believed in Jesus as Saviour and were baptized in water to declare their faith in Jesus.

No other miracle can ever be greater than the miracle of eternal life. And it is available to every one and any one in Penang! The greatest miracle of all in this life is just a prayer away! And it is free! Oh the amazing grace and matchless mercy of God to the people of Penang!

Brother Soo

Sister Jessica Soo

Brother Terence Soo

Jesus said that all the angels in heaven rejoice over one person who turns back to God (Luke 15:7). We also rejoice with heaven over the three matchless miracles given by God to this family. All glory be to God!

Dancing Dogs of Balik Pulau, Malaysia - 1

I have just uploaded a video on the Dancing Dogs of Balik Pulau (The link is posted below at the end of this blog).

These are my household dogs:

This is George, the dancing dog in the video

This is Lola, the mother of George

This is Sarkozy, the French bulldog

The dancing dog in the video is George, the son of Lola. George learnt dancing from his mother. All his siblings also learnt dancing from Lola the mother. Lola is a cross-breed, a mix between a Hush Puppy and a Dachshund, given to us over 10 years ago. Lola is the favourite dog of Grace and Abigail and Rachel, my three daughters. When they were young, I had to remind them, "No dogs in the bedroom, please!"

Lola is not in this video, but will appear soon. At one time, Lola and George and one other dog danced in synchronized fashion! This was only a short performance (the other dog, a Jack Russell, my favourite dog, is already dead).

We presently have 4 dogs, namely Lola and George and Sarkozy (a French bulldog with a deformed front foot) and Moo-Moo (George's step brother, who lives in the garden among the grass day and night). All the dogs in my household belong solely to my wife Joy. I only feed them when I am instructed, and control them when they chase after strangers and meter readers.

However, they seldom obey me. What to do?!?
When I feed them, they refuse to eat and linger over the food. When I ask them to come, they run away. As I said, they are my wife's dogs, and they rush to meet her whenever she returns from an outing, and eat heartily whenever she feeds them.

Please do come and visit us and watch the dancing dogs of Balik Pulau!!!
They are one of a kind.
That's a miracle in Penang!!!

The video link is here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=APqj4RgsGgo&feature=youtu.be

Please be aware that the dogs only dance early in the morning as they greet me and my wife; and when we return home at night, they will always greet us with dancing. They do not dance as ordered. We do not train them to dance.

"God Saved Me From A Great Disaster When A Motorbike Crashed Into My Car Last Tuesday"

I shared this testimony with the congregation at Bethel of Glory on Sunday 11 March 2012 about the great mercy of God on my life the past week.

"Last Tuesday, as I was driving a friend from India, Brother Abishek, from Lip Sin Garden to Sungai Ara in the afternoon, a motorbike, driven at very high velocity, rammed into the back of my small Kelisa 300 yards before the Vistana Hotel, along Jalan Bukit Gambier, at the inner fast lane.

"The bike fell dead on the spot, and I drove further down the road to park at the road side. Abishek and I then walked back to the spot where the rider had fallen. He was unconscious and lying flat on the road, his body suffering from fits and muscle spasms. Many people were gathered around him, and a few were trying to revive him from his unconscious state. One man suggested that we carry him to the road side, while another said that it is wiser to wait for the ambulance, as his neck might be broken. Abishek and I laid hands on him and commanded him to be healed and to live!

"We all then carried him to the road side, while some people continued to revive him by shaking him and calling out to him. A few members from the Safety and Welfare Society arrived and called for an ambulance. Motor accident workshop runners were all over the place also. All were very helpful. A few other motorcyclists talked to me and told me that the rider, a young man, seemed to be suffering from fits on the bike and seemed to be unable to control his speed, just before his motorbike hit my car.

"After 20 minutes, he woke up. He remembered nothing when we talked to him. He claimed that he drove out slowly from Lip Sin Garden and then his bike fell on the road, and that his bike did not knock into any car.

"The greatest miracle was that there was not a drop of blood anywhere on his body or clothes. Neither were his bones or neck broken, as feared earlier, nor his head cracked. He only had a superficial laceration at the back of his waist. His brother then arrived and took him home after talking to me. The ambulance never arrived.

"I thank God for His great mercy that the rider did not fly into my car though the back window, did not break his neck or bones, did not crack his skull, and did not die, even after such a violent impact. Otherwise, there would be no end to the problems that would arise if he had died or if he had suffered severe injuries.

"Our God is a great and awesome God who cares for all His children. He saved me from a great disaster that day. All glory be to Him. What a mighty God we serve!"

COMMENTS:
"That was a great miracle in Penang that day."

Psalm 91 operates for us when we commit our day to God, so that no harm or disasters will come near to us or to our families.

Psalm 91:1-3, 9-10
1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my
fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”

9 If you make the Most High your dwelling—
even the LORD, who is my refuge—
10 then no harm will befall you,
no disaster will come near your tent.

"God healed me of high fever and severe body-aches"

Brother Jimmy shared this testimony last Sunday, 11 March 2012, about the healing God gave him in the last one week.

He said:
"Last Monday and Tuesday, I suffered from very high fever, severe headache, joint pain, and body-aches.
I thought I was going to die; it was that debilitating!

"I saw a doctor who suspected dengue at first, but it was not so.
Nevertheless, I took whatever antibiotics and medicines he gave me.

"I also prayed to God for healing and by faith I believed that my healing has come, and I then began to declare that 'By the wounds of Jesus, I have been healed' (Isaiah 53:5; 1 Peter 2:24; Mark 11:24).

"Brother Samuel also encouraged me to take the Lord's Supper regularly, for the 'Life of Jesus is in His blood' (Leviticus 17:11; John 6:53). I therefore celebrated the Lord's Supper daily, believing that the life of Jesus is flowing through me as I drink His blood.

"I also want to thank all the brothers and sisters who called me up and prayed for me and encouraged me.
Most of all I thank my good wife who not only took good care of me but also looked after the children and helped in their school activities.

"Towards the middle of the week, I began to recover, though still weak from the initial high fever and pains. By the end of the week, I was 90% recovered.

"I give all glory to God for His miraculous healing in my life this past week."

COMMENTS:
That's a miracle in Penang!

That's a great miracle for Jimmy, who thought he was going to die.

And God will always healed us, no matter what our sicknesses, for healing belongs to every child of God through the work of Jesus on the cross.

For on the cross, "Jesus took away our sicknesses and carried our pains. And by His wounds, we have been healed" (Isaiah 53:4-5, RSV Margin; 1 Peter 2:24).

"My Washing Machine Miracles"

On Sunday, 11 March 2012, Sister Naomi @ Ah Peng shared this powerful testimony:

She said:
"I worship regularly with a Thai church in Penang. Recently, I heard that the pastor had no washing machine. As I was praying one day, the Lord spoke to me and asked me to give him my washing machine. I obeyed the Holy Spirit and gave away my washing machine. However, three days later, a neighbour gave me her washing machine! That's a great miracle!

"After one week, a problem developed with the machine my neighbour gave me. At the end of the washing cycle, the clothes did not spin dry. So I had to wring the clothes myself so that they are dry enough to hang on the clothes line. I did this for 6 days. I said to myself: 'God did not give me this machine to add problems to my life. He has a purpose in this problem.' So I thank God that God wanted me to exercise my arm muscles in squeezing the clothes dry. Meanwhile,  I prayed to God to heal the machine. I then commanded the machine to be healed.

"On the seventh day, the machine began to shake and rattle at the end of the washing cycle and began to spin. The clothes were spun dry! The machine was healed! All glory to God! That's the second miracle with this washing machine."

COMMENTS:
That's a miracle in Penang!

I thank God for Naomi's obedience to the Holy Spirit. As she sowed, she reaped. She gave away a washing machine and received another in return. She walked in faith and obedience and blessed another person and received a great miracle in return.

I also thank God for her faith in receiving healing for her washing machine that had a problem. Thank God that she did not complain when she faced the problem, but rejoiced that God wanted her to exercise her arm muscles as she squeezed the clothes dry for 6 days.

To receive your miracles, as Naomi did, do the following:
(a) Sow a seed into God's kingdom to receive a harvest of abundance. Specify the harvest you need in your prayer to God. (2 Corinthians 9:6).
(b) After you asked God for healing or for a specific need, believe that you have received it. Thank God for it. Command the healing. Command the miracle (Mark 11:23-24).
(c) Meanwhile, as you wait patiently for the miracle to manifest, give thanks to God and praise Him for His goodness. Do not complain or grumble (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).
(d) The miracles will manifest in due season at the perfect time.
