Sister Saras gave this awesome testimony of God's great love and power displayed towards His children, when she spoke yesterday morning during the Sunday Worship 8 July, 2012.
She said:
"On Thursday 3 days ago, a car knocked into the motorbike that I was riding on, with my daughter Alu Mary being the driver of our bike.
"We both fell and sustained painful injuries, but praise God, no bones were broken.
However, one of Alu Mary's thighs was swollen and in great pain.
The lady driver of the car sent us to the clinic for treatment and from there we went home to recover.
"During the night, my daughter cried for me to help her. However, I could not get up, as my body was still weak and sore all over from the accident.
So I cried out to the Lord, 'O Lord, I need to help my daughter, I feel so helpless. Please heal me.'
"At 5AM in the morning I had a dream. In the dream, a man came to my room door. He was clothed in white, with a head of white hair, and holding a staff in one hand and a book in the other. I commanded him to go away and leave me. He left and came back a second time. I told him to leave me this time also. When he approached me the third time, I shouted, 'In Jesus' name, I command you to tell me who you are!'
"The man did not reply, but stretched out his hand to heal me. He opened his mouth to say something to me, but at that point, my daughter called for me and I woke up.
"At 7AM, I believed I was healed and got up by faith from my bed. All my pain left me, and I spent the whole day looking after my daughter and doing house work.
"I want to give all the glory to God for visiting me in a dream and for hearing my cry for help.
"To Him be glory forever and ever."
Comments (Brother Andrew):
(1) Our God is an awesome God, a mighty God who can do what He has promised to do, healing all who cry out to Him, no matter what the sickness or disease.
Jeremiah 32:27
“I am Yahweh, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?
Exodus 15:26
He said, “I am Yahweh, who heals you.”
(2) Our God is a faithful God, a God who always keeps His word and fulfills His promises.
When we call to Him, He will always answer.
Psalm 91:14-15
14 “Because he loves me,” says Yahweh, “I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call upon me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
(3) The man who appeared to Saras in white clothes and with white hair is Jesus.
He has a shepherd's rod with Him showing that He cares for Saras and for each of His sheep.
The book He held in His hand is the word of God, the word that brings healing.
Revelation1:12-14
12 I turned around to see the voice that was speaking to me. And when I turned I saw seven golden lampstands, 13 and among the lampstands was someone “like a son of man,” dressed in a robe reaching down to his feet and with a golden sash around his chest. 14 His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire.
John 10:14-15
14 “I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me— 15 just as the Father knows me and I know the Father —and I lay down my life for the sheep.
Psalm 107:20
He sent forth His word and healed them; He rescued them from the grave.
(4) Jesus answered Saras' cry through a dream, where He came to Saras to heal her.
Likewise, God can heal us through various means.
We must not limit God's ways, but instead welcome Him and His answers to our prayers.
